NOTEWORTHY: Band Branding

When I was doing some initial research for my blog, I came across this short article.  The concept of the treating your band as a brand is not rocket science, however, it does shift the perspective back to the consumer.  After all, it is the consumer who determines what songs are number one itunes downloads and chart toppers.  Take a moment to read this through.  If you are starting a new band, consistency is something to keep in mind.  Your goal is brand recognition.  If you are already established in the industry, step outside and look at how your brand is doing.

 

“Most people just advertise their bands. Pass out flyers. Sing some songs. Hope people like the songs. Repeat. In today's hyper competitive environment you gotta do better than that.”
